A postage stamp turned into a pop icon. Canada 38 features a vintage Canadian stamp from the 1970s, part of a series celebrating North America's natural biodiversity. At its center is Cantharellus cinnabarinus—a fiery red edible mushroom, elegant and mysterious like a natural work of art.
Hidden in Canadian forests
Native to the hardwood forests of Eastern North America, this “cinnabar chanterelle” grows among the roots of oaks, beeches, and hickories, fruiting between summer and fall. We designed this t-shirt starting from the original stamp artwork—an homage to a vivid and rare species that bridges the gap between nature, archival graphics, and visual culture.
